This area is quite abundant with a number of major chain hotels
including the Hyatt Regency Miami Hotel which is the site of the
Job Expo. The Clarion Hotel is adjacent to the Job Expo site. They have a special room rate for $99.99. Please contact the Clarion for more informaton. You can also obtain a list of nearby hotels by

determine
eligibility, you can contact the state of
Florida Department of Education
(D.O.E.) This website clearly explains the
subject area requirements for someone to be eligible for a
temporary certificate. No one can begin teaching without
being eligible for a temporary certificate.

interviews are not conducted each candidate will sign up
at the table of their interest: Administrative, Professional and
Technical, Instructional, or Non-Instructional, so that
follow-up contact can be made.
What is the purpose of the Job Expo?
The purpose of
the Job Expo is to acquaint attendees with the various jobs
available in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. It will also
give attendees an opportunity to relate their qualifications to
school district representatives as well as learn about the
benefits of working in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
What happens
after the Job Expo? Will office representatives be in contact
with me?
Yes, if you sign in at the office of your job interest and meet
qualifications, you will be contacted.

We have noticed that many attendees carry around either a note
pad or note cards and jot down comments after each contact. You
must be organized. The Job Expo is a one-day event and moves at
a relatively fast pace. Remembering names and keeping business
cards will go a long way in your job search.
